General Rules of Active & Passive Voice
Let's look at the following examples to understand the stated Rules of Active & Passive Voice:

| Action as per above Rules | Active Voice Sentence: S= She, V= drives & O= a car | |
| For Passive Voice Sentence: S= A car, V= driven & S= her | ||
| Helping verb = is (the sentence is of present indefinite tense) | ||
| Passive Voice | A car is driven by her. | कार उसके द्वारा चलाई जाती है। |
| Active Voice | They praised her. | उन्होंने उसकी प्रशंसा की। |
| Action as per above Rules | Active Voice Sentence: S= They, V= praised & O= her | |
| For Passive Voice Sentence: S= She, V= praised & S= them | ||
| Helping verb = was (the sentence is of past indefinite tense) | ||
| Passive Voice | She was praised by them. | उसकी प्रशंसा उनके द्वारा की गई। |
पैसिव वॉयस वाक्यों में, जो व्यक्ति एक्शन करता है उसे वाक्य बताया भी जाता है और नही भी बताया जाता है।
Passive Voice वाक्यों में जहां कार्य करने वाले का नाम नही दिया जाता मन में एक सवाल उठाता है के कार्य किसके द्वारा किया गया। यहां हम अपनी कल्पना से किसी के बारे में भी सोच सकते हैं।
In passive voice sentences, the person who performs the action is either stated or not. In the passive voice sentences where the action performer's name is not given, the mind raises a question as to who did the work. Here we can think of anyone with our imagination.
Look at the following:

| Dr हृदया ने थीसिस लिखी । - Active Voice | Dr Hridaya wrote the thesis. - Active Voice |
| थीसिस Dr हृदया द्वारा लिखी गई । - Passive Voice | The thesis was written by Dr Hridaya. - Passive Voice |
| अखबार पढा गया । >> किसके द्वारा >> (मेरे द्वारा) | Newspaper was read. >> By whom >> (by me) |
| खाना पकाया जा रहा है । >> किसके द्वारा >> (हीना द्वारा) | Food is being cooked. >> By whom >> (by Heena) |
| जादू दिखाया गया । >> किसके द्वारा >> (जादूगर द्वारा) | Magic was shown. >> By whom >> (By the magician) |
| खिड़की तोड़ी गई है । >> किसके द्वारा >> (चोरों द्वारा) | The window has been broken >> By whom >> (by thieves) |
| टेलिफोन का आविष्कार किया गया । >> किसके द्वारा >> (अलेकज़ेंडर ग्राहम बेल द्वारा) | The telephone was invented. >> By whom >> (by Alexander Graham Bell) |
