There are some simple spelling rules that help us decide whether a change is needed when adding a suffix to
the spelling of an adjective word. We will learn the Rules of:
1 Adjective with single syllable
2 Irregular Adjectives
3 Adjectives with two or more syllables
Rules - Adjectives with single syllable:
आमतौर पर, जब विशेषण में केवल एक शब्दांश होता है तो हम Comparative Degree बनाने के लिए 'r/er' और Superlative Degree बनाने के लिए 'st/est' जोड़ते हैं।
Usually, when an adjective has only one syllable, we add 'r/er' to make Comparative Degree and 'st/est' to make Superlative Degree.
Rule 1
जब पॉजिटिव विशेषण के अंत में 'e' आता है, तो इसे Comparative बनाने के लिए केवल 'r' जोड़ें और Superlative बनाने के लिए केवल 'st' जोड़ें ।
When 'e' comes at the end of Positive Adjective, add only 'r' to make it Comparative and only 'st' to make Superlative.
Look at the following examples:
Positive form | Comparative form | Superlative form |
---|---|---|
Able | Abler | Ablest |
Fine | Finer | Finest |
Nice | Nicer | Nicest |
Noble | Nobler | Noblest |
Simple | Simpler | Simplest |
