2. Adverbs of Place

Adverbs of Place जगह के क्रियाविशेषण उस जगह का वर्णन करते हैं जहां कुछ है या हो रहा था या होगा। संक्षेप में वे इस सवाल का जवाब देंगे: 'कहां?' कुछ Adverbs of Place हैं: पास, इधर, उधर, अंदर, बाहर, पीछे, दूर, नीचे आदि।

Adverbs of the place describe the place where something is or was happening or will happen. In short, they answer the question: 'Where?' Some Adverbs of Place are: nearby, here, there, inside, outside, backward, far away, underneath etc.

Examples:-

दौड़ने से पहले देखो, आप दीवार से टकराओगे।	Look before running; you will bang into the wall	into
उपरोक्त वाक्यों में 'यहाँ', 'here', 'everywhere', ​​और 'into' सभी बता रहे हैं कि कार्रवाई कहाँ हो रही है या होगी, इसलिए वे Adverbs of Place हैं।	In the above sentences, 'here', 'everywhere', and 'into' are all telling us where the action is taking place or will take place, so they are Adverbs of Place.

Points to Remember:

Adverb of Place हमेशा हमें उस स्थान के बारे में बताएगी जहां क्रिया की क्रिया हो रही है। सबसे common Adverbs हैं: somewhere, everywhere, nowhere, anywhere, indoors, abroad, overseas, etc.

An Adverb of Place will always tell us about the location where the action of the verb is taking place. The most common ones are: somewhere, everywhere, nowhere, anywhere, indoors, abroad, overseas, etc.

मधुमिता कहीं भी यात्रा नहीं करना चाहता।	Madhumita doesn’t want to travel anywhere.	anywhere
जया सारा दिन अंदर बैठकर किताब पड़ती रही।	Jaya was sitting indoors reading a book the whole day.	indoors

Adverbs of Place उस दिशा को भी इंगित करते हैं जहां वर्ब की क्रिया हो रही है। जैसे, south, west, northwards, eastwards, up, down, around, outwards, homeward etc.

Adverbs of Place also point out the direction where the action of the verb is taking place. Like, south, west, northwards, eastwards, up, down, around, outwards, homeward etc.

अपहरण किया हुआ हवाई जहाज उत्तर की तरफ उड़ रहा था।	The hijacked aeroplane was flying northwards.	northwards
गेंद गमले को जा लगी और यह नीचे की तरफ गिर गया।	The ball hit the pot, and it fell downwards.	downwards
पतंग ऊपर उड़ती चली गयी।	The kite went on flying upwards.	upwards
