Forms of Infinitive

इनफिनिटिव के छह रूप हैं। चार फॉर्म एक्टिव वॉयस के हैं और दो फॉर्म पैसिव वॉयस के हैं। आइए इसे उदाहरणों से समझते हैं:

There are six forms of infinitive. Four forms are active voice and two forms are passive voice. Let's understand this with examples:

A - Active Voice - Simple Infinitive - काम करना	(To + Infinitive) - to do, to go, to work, not to do
मुझे पढ़ना है।	I am to study.
मुझे वहाँ नहीं जाना है।	I am not to go there.
मैं उसके आने का इन्तजार कर रहा हूँ	I am waiting for him to come.
मैं समय पर आने का प्रयास करूँगा।	I will try to come on time.
मैंने उसे अँग्रेज़ी सीखने की सलाह दी है।	I have advised him to learn English.
उसने उसे नौकरी का आवेदन देने के लिये मना लिया था।	He had persuaded her to apply for the job.
उसने मुझे रिश्वत देने का प्रयास किया।	He tried to bribe me.
उसने मुझे मीटिंग में शामिल होने का निमन्त्रण दिया था।	He had invited me to attend the meeting.
तुम्हें परेशान करने का मुझे खेद है।	I am sorry to disturb you.
मेरा ऑफिस ढूंढना आसान है।	It is easy to find my office.
उसे मेरे लिये काम नही करना है।	She is not to work for me.

B - Active Voice - Continuous Infinitive - काम कर रहा होना	(To be + Infinitive + Ing) - to be doing, to be going, to be working
कच्चे तेल की कीमत लगता है और कम हो रही है।	Crude prices seem to be decreasing further.
ऐसा लगा की मंजुला कार चला रही थी।	Manjula seemed to be driving.
वह लगता है उसके साथ का मजा ले रहा है।	He appears to be enjoying her company.
कर्मचारी प्रतीत होता है धीरे-धीरे हड़ताल की तरफ बढ़ रहे हैं।	Workers appear to be heading gradually towards a strike.
प्रबंधक वर्ग उनके कल्याण के लिये कार्य करने का नाटक कर रहे हैं।	Management pretends to be working for their welfare.
वह भारत के लिये क्रिकेट खेल रहा होने की आशा करता है।	He hopes to be playing cricket for India.
वह समझा जाता है की चीन में छिप रहा है।	He is thought to be hiding in China.
जब तुमने उसे देखा, वह सोने का बहाना कर रहा था।	He was pretending to be sleeping when you saw him.
वह हमेशा अपने ससुराल वालों को यथोचित इज्जत देने का ढोंग कर रही होगी।	She will always pretend to be paying due respect to her in-laws.
