3. Adverbs of Time

Adverbs of Time वे शब्द हैं जो समय दिखाते हैं (When?)। समय भूत, वर्तमान या भविष्य का हो सकता है। कुछ Adverbs of Time हैं: already, early, now, finally, yesterday, tomorrow, recently, soon, yet, sometime, today, before, 4 o'clock, presently, immediately etc.

Adverbs of Time are the words that show time (When?). Time can be of past, present or future. Some Adverbs of Time are: already, early, now, finally, yesterday, tomorrow, recently, soon, yet, sometime, today, before, 4 o'clock, presently, immediately etc.

Examples:-

वाक्य	Sentence	Adverbs
हमारी बैठक हर महीने होती है।	Our meeting takes place every month.	every month
क्या आप में से कोई हाल ही में लंदन आया?	Did any of you visit London recently?	recently
दादी आज सुबह से प्रार्थना कर रही है।	Grandmum has been praying all morning today.	all morning today
शरद ऋतु के दौरान सूखी पत्तियां हर जगह गिरती हैं।	Dry leaves fall everywhere during autumn.	during autumn
शिवानी इस महीने बेकिंग पर तीन सप्ताह के कोर्स में शामिल हुई हैं।	Shivani has joined a three weeks course on baking this month.	three weeks, month
जॉन हमसे मिलने आता है जब भी वह आराम करना चाहता है।	John comes to visit us whenever he wants to relax.	whenever he wants to relax

Points to Remember:

Adverbs of Time को ज्यादातर वाक्य के अंत में रखते हैं जब हम वाक्य के सब्जेक्ट पर जोर देना चाहते हैं।

Adverbs of time are mostly placed at the end of the sentence when we want to emphasise the subject of the sentence.

मैं आज चार किलोमीटर की पैदल दूरी पर गया।	I went for a four-kilometre walk today.	today
सचिन को असम में एक साल के लिए नियुक्त किया गया है।	Sachin has been posted in Assam for one year.	one year
